What is Book Kitchen?

Book Kitchen is a full-service cookbook publisher and book packaging studio — turning great food stories into beautiful, award-winning books, from first concept to the finished, printed book in your hands.

I co-founded Book Kitchen with my friend, writer Steve Siegelman. Together, we guide each book to find its story, promise, tone, look, size, shape, and structure — then see it through concept, writing, design, photography, and print production.

Over 20+ years, we've made books for great brands like Macy's, Robert Mondavi Vineyards, and Jackson Family Wines, and for publishers such as Ten Speed Press, Chronicle Books, and Oxmoor House — earning four IACP Cookbook Award nominations (two wins) along the way, plus press coverage in the San Francisco Chronicle, Bloomberg, Food & Wine, Publishers Weekly, and Good Morning America.
